The administrative offices of the NRES Department are located in Turner Hall, which is also the location of the offices and laboratories of several faculty members.  Turner Hall, which was built in 1964, was named in honor of Jonathan Baldwin Turner.  Turner was influential in the 1862 passage of the Morrill Act, which established a framework for the land-grant system of agricultural institutions throughout the United States.
